Cooper Institute Police Physical Fitness Test
The following will be the physical test battery using 85 percentile single norms:
Recommended warm up (3 min. minimum)
Vertical Jump (2 min. rest) 21.5 inches
One Minute Sit-up (5 min. minimum rest) 39
300 Meter Run (5 min. minimum rest) 51 seconds
Push-up (5 min. minimum rest) 34
Recommended Cardio warm up (2 min. minimum)
1.5 Mile Run (5 min. recommended 12 mins. 20 secs.

The physical fitness test is pass/fail. Each candidate must pass each event with the minimum score listed. A candidate that does not pass any event will be immediately disqualified from the remainder of the testing process.
